Three special days.

Guess what I found out ? It sure is unbelievable. Three special days (for some people, four) fall on 2007/06/21. Mark the calendar, all you who observe this date !

First off, for the teenage Catholics, it is our feast day. In other words, we celebrate the feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga, the patron saint of youth. Whoohoo.

Secondly, it is the summer solstice. Not quite special for us over here, where it is summer all year.....

Thirdly, it is World Music Day (remember the Fete de la Musique articles I posted over this space a year ago ? That). A good day for free concerts, collective jamming, music downloads, HITZ.TV, Fly FM and Hitz FM, a good day for me to drum on the pillows even more. Ah. Music. One of these things we just cannot seem to do without. This is us. And I am sure, on that very day, my friends will bring a fresh new updated playlist in their cell phones.

And lastly, for those in KL, hello !! It is KL Choir Finals !! For the rest of the teams who have succesfully entered the finals, congratulations. Well done, but beware, the stakes are high. You have seen us, and you will see us again - all we have to offer for the judges to feast their ears.

*drum roll* Presenting the Fantastic Four Fests of CBN !

So on such a special day, we will be adjourning to the hall of SMK Puteri Ampang for a (hopefully) breathtaking competition. Of course, I am one person who observes three out of four of the festivals. Time to offer up a prayer for us, the youth voice. I eagerly anticipate whatever happens on that day. Wow. It sure is beautiful. All of you who are from CBN or are allied to CBN, please pray for us, that we may do well ! In moments like these, when the competition is stiff and the stakes are high, prayers are just so essential.

As for me, I have nothing much to do except... be there for practice, get my stuff ready, get my composition done, get my PEKA done, get my homework done, study, remix, update the blogs, drum on the pillows, continue drumming on the pillows (here I go again)....... and take my mother to the competition venue. Wherever it is.

Celebrate Youth. Celebrate Music. Celebrate Life. Celebrate KL Choir Finals. Faites de la musique, FM 2007. Time to party !
