Fabienne Ricordel replied !
And she must've been seriously happy when she saw the name on the e-mail - my name.
Just in case you were wondering, look back at my French-Speakers’ posts : Fabienne Ricordel is the attachée linguistique, the one who examined me for the C1 not very long ago.
I've included some memorable quotes from the two e-mails (mine and hers). My lines are in light purple ; Ricordel's lines are in dark red.
troisnyx* : You examined me for the C1, remember ?
troisnyx* : If you do organise stuff for the Francophonie or the FM, I'd love to contribute to them.
Ricordel : How could I ever forget about the only candidate for last year's November-session C1 ? :D
Ricordel : So what's your New Year's resolution for 2009 ? Are you thinking of preparing for the C2 ? Now that should be a challenge.
Ricordel : It'd be a great pleasure to meet you on one of these occasions. I'll be waiting.
And as I ended with "cordialement", she made it even better : she ended it with "bien cordialement."
Oh goodness ! What does that mean ? (Not that I'm asking what cordialement means - it means "cordially", but... what does the end greeting signify ?)
OMG ! I'm gonna tell DK ! :DDDDDDD
I read her e-mail this morning at 8:57 in the morning, right before I left the house - and I spent practically the rest of the day in college. Right now, I'm in the college PC lab, typing this post out. I even created a journal post (as in paper journal post) for this one - I'm marking this as one of my key events. Truly, it's been a sad start to 2009 - but already from the two e-mails (mine and hers) I can tell that God has blessed me tremendously !
And mom, if you're up there, right now, whispering in the Lord's ear for me to have opportunities... thank you. I love you.
