2006.11.12, 2006.11.19

I actually called the Alliance Française this morning just to get my details. Check : this one is the B2, and nothing further for the moment. So, here goes : the written section is, as the title suggests - 2006/11/12. And the spoken section is 2006/11/19, both at the Alliance Française headquarters. Wish me luck and if you have a religion, PRAY FOR ME PLEASE !!! Darn, I'm nervous. I know.

Apparently, only five people inscribed their names as candidates for this session. And I, being the only teen, have to come up with quick wit and critical appreciation and the like. You'd probably know what I'm getting at. The B2 is harder than the SPM French paper [9303] - in the sense that B2 is like, well... the level of an advanced speaker. In 9303, it's just well... the basic grasp of the language !!! And all that in two hours and thirty minutes ! I did mention this way beforehand. Now here I am, competing with adults. I wonder how they'd react, seeing a so-called kid in their presence...

It wasn't surprising to note that only one person signed up for the C1 paper - the level after B2. C1 must be really tough, although many say it is just like the B2. No one signed up for the C2 - that is hardcore. In the Alliance Française, one needs at least 12 years of French before signing up for the C2. But in French-Speakers Unite, the group I'm in, it only is a matter of between four to five years.

Which probably explains why Alliance Française would mark me.
