Ressonnant turns one today.
And tomorrow, the girls are leaving for Ipoh - I just can't believe that the finals are so soon.
I remember last year, immediately after the 21st of June, when we won our KL Finals, we had to come up with the identity of the choir. And it was on this date that the name Ressonnant was born. Although I can't really specify when we formed our full identity - it grew over time. And my, twelve months have passed so fast ! I met up with Lyana, Evon and Fazrina for the last time before we took our separate ways on the 21st of June, which was our Awards Day. The 21st of June is a bittersweet date for me (as it is Fete de la Musique, as it was the KL Finals, as it was the Awards Day).
Anyways, while in the hospital I talked to Nurin, our dear teddy bear : everything was just so gung-ho and I longed to go and see them in Ipoh, but I can't : tomorrow I have a long day in class. And I reckon they will be there for three days or so, just like in 2006 and 2007. Trying to send the messages out was a burden - there was limited connectivity in the ICU and I dared not touch my phone, even with low radio transmission. I also talked to Ms Joaan and asked her about the finals. Said sh'll be there spiritually - she'll be working in Sri Cempaka tomorrow and cannot follow the girls to Ipoh. I miss Rebecca. I miss Wing Yie. I miss Nurin, Adila, Hanna, Hazwani, Ku Aliah, Saidatul, Dibba, Shima, Sitha, Lishia, Nadhirah, Lyana, Sabs, Evon, Celyn, Bridget, Petrina and Ka Yong. I miss everyone. I miss Ressonnant.
This'll be their third year in the National Finals : I'll keep them in my prayers for as long as they are there. I trust that they will be geared up to hit the top spot this year (although I do not know how the judges will take every single team in that limited time !). Only this time, I'm not there. Nurin missed the old playing style but well, all good things may have to come to an end, nan ?
Once again I cry, ALLEZ RESSONNANT !!!
