j'ai réeeeeussiiiiii....... heeeeehhhhh.
(As this is my 400th post, I thought I'd do it with a bang.)
DK was all smiles when he came over for class today. And without creating anymore suspense, he entered and immediately told me I passed. This is not a first, surely, but here's to the youngest in Malaysia to pass the C1 ! This is one of those exams where the possibility of failing is very high. So it doesn't matter what grade I get, as long as I get through. After all, I'm bound to speak like a native in that exam ! And these are the stats, one by one :
Spoken production : 19/25
(this is the one I announced earlier on troisnyx* officiel)
Written production (i.e. essay) : 15.5/25
Written comprehension : 11/25
Listening comprehension : 6/25
Total : 51.5/100
The official document is not with me - that's because the teachers have to maintain confidentiality. Anyway, DK was pleased with my essay and spoken test, no doubt, but he was very disappointed about my listening test, and he asked me why. I told him, "Remember what I told you earlier ? The audio document was too animated, too fast and too difficult. And it had something gotta do with the economy. Something which I myself am not familiar with !"
And with the réussite of the C1, the attachée linguistique – the one who examined me on the day of the spoken C1 – finally unveiled her identity.
Her name is Fabienne Ricordel.
And chances are that we may very well be keeping in touch.
Oh. I'll be waiting.
First person I wanna thank : You, Lord ! Thank you so much !
And to you, DK, thanks a bunch for all those drills.
(now you can stamp your mark among French-speakers in Malaysia with so much ease.)
