With reference to Pasquale's article about the Web :
Pardon me, folks, but I'm one of those people who believe that it's never cool to be a Facebook whore. And in fact, I hardly ever go on Facebook. I'm just keeping it for the sake of... well, keeping it. And that too, because everyone's there.
I somewhat liked social networking until it finally dawned upon me that I had too many pages to manage. I removed Friendster, I'm soon to remove Windows Live Spaces and Skyrock, and there's still a great deal of online cleaning-up to do.
Go read his post and see how horrifying our Internet is today. And it has been especially marred by social networking. That's seriously not what the Internet was intended for ! What happened to the Internet as a resource of content (and I mean real content) ? What happened to the watershed of Web 2.0 ?
