Everyone's surprised.

DK came over for class today and...

He's surprised.
Mme Ricordel is surprised.
Everyone who has seen me undergoing a listening test seems to be surprised.

Thing is, I just can't stop wondering why I do so well for the listening test during the exam preparation (i.e. at home, with all the background noise and stinky oil odour) while in the exam room, I flunked my C1 listening test. I only got a mere 6/25.

So again, we tried it with another difficult subject - this time, it was vaccination - and DK sat right beside me to test my aptitude. All I was required to do was take down the keywords/points.

Imagine what a difference it made when I scored 5/7 for noting down the plus points, and 2/4 for the minus points...

So I told him, just as I told him before, "I told Mme Ricordel on the exam day (in fact, she did ask me how it went, immediately after the listening test was over and she was allowed to come in) that the audio document was too animated, too fast and too difficult. And then again, it touched on the economy - now that's something which I'm not at all familiar with - except, of course, for that little bit of knowledge I gained from the Business Studies textbook."

Well, looks like they've just gotta believe me this time.
