Alright. Before I even start on this post I need to post a quick reminder about the poll on the sidebar. I need approximately ten days to train myself and thus, I'll be closing the poll on 2008/11/20. So hurry and cast your votes NOW !

Now, on to the real deal. I remember while I was on YouthSays yesterday they were all asking this question on the discussion board - "Why do you blog ?" I know many people out there ask me this question because mine seems to be well-taken care of, and contains many posts - though that statement alone could contain as much falsehood as truth.

My response to that question :

I blog because firstly, this blog - troisnyx* officiel - is a platform for me to voice out things where vocal communication fails. Yes, when I speak, there are ers, ahhhs, and all forms of onomatopoeia you can think of. Here, it's what I have to say minus 95% of the interjections. Also, to some people who think my being eccentric is being annoying, they can very well feast their eyes here because whenever these words are written, the emotion behind them isn't very obvious.

Secondly, the entire sequence of events which I have documented enables people to know my story. I believe that everyone has a great story to tell - the stories of their lives, in particular. God willing, if things go well later on - whenever people want to find out about great people who lived in the past, they'd have to search far and wide for evidence. In my story, I put in all my evidence. All the photos are not Photoshopped or done on PowerPoint/Picture Manager unless specified (why the hell am I saying this, I don't even have Photoshop). These texts and pictures are evidence in themselves.

Thirdly, I get to flex my fingers and exercise my HTML and design skills. The entire blog layout was based on a white Minima theme tainted with HTML configuration here and there. The background was done on the "Edit HTML" thing. The sidebar - the picture grids and the communication tools - well. That too. I'm no genius in design and I don't have design tools - the only softwares to really help me are PowerPoint and Picture Manager - but people have been reviewing the blog and saying that the design's kinda okay.

troisnyx* officiel. I guess it's a great place for a person who thinks in pictures and puts her thoughts all over the place.

Oh, and before I forget. Today is the 11th of November already. All the best to you SPM students. I went through this rite of passage last year and I hope you go through it as well as my friends and I did. Study hard, and when it’s over, party harder !
