Omigosh. OHMAGAWD ! French exams have never been this anticipated !

DK came with the feedback from the jury today and I was very, very scared. I was, in fact, nauseous due to worry (but thank God I didn't puke). He had to drag lah, for a few minutes or so...... but he came in with a huge grin on his face.

And so I asked him, and this is our conversation (roughly translated) :

troisnyx* : So what'd they say ?
DK : Good news. They were very impressed with what you did. You satisfied more than what they expected for that test.
troisnyx* : Serious ?
DK : No joke. That's what they told me in the séance.
troisnyx* : Because as far as I know, I made a huge blunder by repeating the word "retribution" like, six times, and all my sustained, high vocabulary turned into simplist vocabulary when they asked me questions---
DK : Yeah. I know. You and I both know you don't have the vocabulaire soutenu. We'll work on that immediately after the C1 is over. But frankly speaking, they didn' take you for your age.
troisnyx* : Then ?
DK : They took you for a thirty-year-old. Perhaps the threshold might've been lowered when you mentioned that you're a law student.
troisnyx* : So I reckon they found out my age only when you told them during the séance ?
DK : Yeah. And note, the two examiners who formed the jury for that day were the director of the Alliance Française, and the attachée linguistique of the French Embassy. So that means…
troisnyx* : That means... I'm in the French Embassy's good books ?
DK : Possibly. Being in the Embassy's good books actually opens up a whole lotta options for you. Work, study, sponsorship and whatnot ? And for the fact that you can get through the C1 at your age, your voice will undoubtedly be heard, if not answered ! But you better do the other three tests well too. I have a strong feeling that you'll pass the C1. And I believe, even better than you did the B2.
troisnyx* : But then again, we weren't even half prepared for the B2 were we ?
DK : No. It was very occasional. At least now, for the C1, we did our practice very regularly and we're more structured. And come to think of it, if you pass the C1, C2 can't be any further behind.
troisnyx* : But the C2's difficult !
DK : Take a look at this : you have the beginner levels A1 and A2, and between A2 and the next intermediate level - B1 - there's a huge gap. Between B1 and B2 there's a huger gap, but anyone can manage if they're independent users. The biggest gap ever in the French exams is between the B2 and the C1. And if you can get through that, then even if C2 is a lot more difficult, you can manage. Again, as I said, let's work on the vocabulaire soutenu.
troisnyx* : Omigosh, wow........

My French class began at 9:00 and ended at 11:00. After the juries' feedback, we worked on the listening and written comprehension papers, as there was practically insufficient time to work on the essay - and immediately after that, I called Johanna to tell her the good news, then I woke Narin up and told her I got through the production orale, and now.... I'm waiting to tell dad. And my college friends.

The Lord has really blessed me once again, and I thank Him. Hallelujah !
