I'm thinking of Brian Adams' "Heaven."
Which one will it be ?
Faith Hill. Brian Adams. Faith Hill. Brian Adams. Faith Hill. Brian Adams.
You know what, I think I'll just bring both along.
Thing about "Heaven" is this - it's simpler than "There You'll Be" in the sense that for "Heaven" I can retain a falsetto voice throughout the song - it's slightly effortless compared to "There You'll Be" - I remember for that Faith Hill song the verses were fine. The chorus was an uphill task. Immediately I told Adoravelle, half laughing, half sweating, "If the chorus is this bad, what'll happen to the bridge ? Isn't there a long E flat somewhere ?" And she was like, "oh my gosh, yes."
I got worried. Then suddenly when Kimberly was there, she and Adoravelle were singing "Heaven" and I was thinking, oh snap, another song ? Never mind. I guess she'll be dragging Leithiga and Kimberly along for this. I need to practice on the keys. It's a bit too late, I know. But I'll try. Soft and sustenuto pedals down together, please.
Darn, I'm flustered. Tomorrow - um, I mean, later today - there's a Literature paper before my leg of the auditions - darn Mill - and two essays within two hours, and I wonder what's gonna be my saving grace. Unlike Law and Business Studies, there were no mock examinations for Literature. Everyone's scared. I'm a little scared, no doubt. I just hope I can make it through. Help me, Lord. And mom, please watch over me. And my friends. It's from up there that you get to know them.
