The new Windows Live came in today. Messenger, mail and all. And I tell you… it's wreaking havoc in my computer ! The error message came in for a whopping seven times – even after appearing online for a few moments.
I'm usually the type who falls for beta tests ; see, at the time of IE7, when I first tested Windows Live, there were no errors. Even the new web mail was good ! And so, hoping to get the same result, I fell for IE8 – the IE8 alpha was the cause of all the bugs and unwanted ads, and this problem has not stopped even after I got the beta version of IE8. Now, I have a new Windows Live package altogether ; the only thing that happens to work properly is Windows Live Writer – hence I'm still posting to troisnyx* officiel. The Messenger is bonkers, and so is Windows Live Mail, but ironically, Windows Live Mail stays on longer (I always thought that Windows Live Mail was susceptible to all these problems).
Anyway, wish they could do a better job with the full version. And hope it comes soon.
So, until and unless the full version of Windows Live comes, I will be off Windows Live Messenger. I will also have to check my mail from the web, and not from the plug-in as I usually do.
