Next field trip, anyone ?

This one was actually suggested by Fad in one of our previous discussions (i.e. after the blog sketch and drum episode).

Remember how I once said I want to touch the hearts of the people through my songs ? Or maybe I said that several times already. What Fad said was this : it would be great if I could sing somewhere. In an orphanage, perhaps. Because those kids and I have something in common. We have lost either one or both parents. And we know how it feels like. Some have learnt to carry on, perhaps in a matter of months, some are still devastated because they knew their parents as loving people (Chrishandra told me this on the day of the wake). Touching the hearts of people will draw me closer to them, and that helps. I am not going to just be the kind of artist who does nothing but cut singles, albums, attend press conferences and perform live. Of course, I want to do that, but then again, I want to do something more than all that. And this is primarily because God gave me this gift. While mom was around, she shared it with me. Truth be told, that is one of the reasons why we were close.

I told this to Daniel C, who said it was brilliant, but I have yet to build myself up first. Of course, it is not just going to be a singing trip : there has to be some fun factor in it to liven up the atmosphere. That too, when I return to the Sunset Band. Chrishandra will have to accompany me. We are even now.

So, anyone up for it ?
